Large Print Word Search Printables: 10 Free Sets, 100 Puzzles

Last updated October 1, 2026

A word search is the easiest puzzle to pick up and put down, and these ones are made to be read without squinting. Each of the 10 sets below holds ten puzzles with six words to find in an eight by eight grid, printed with 36 point letters and a 24 point word list on a US Letter page. At this Easy level words run only left to right or top to bottom. Every set downloads as a full PDF with a section of answers at the end, or as a puzzles-only file, and everything is free.

There are sets for the seasons and for memories: Thanksgiving, Christmas, the Bible, the 1950s and the 1960s. Then there is one set for each of the five themes of the word search on screen. Choose a set, print it, and keep the stack by your favorite chair. The pages make good gifts for a neighbor and a good activity for a group; see the sharing notes at the bottom of the page.

Seasonal, faith and nostalgia sets

Word searches from our five themes

  1. Open the PDF (or save it) and choose Print. The pages are US Letter, 8.5 by 11 inches.
  2. On A4 paper, or if a margin is cut off, choose “Fit to page” (or “Fit”). Otherwise choose “Actual size” or 100 percent, which keeps the type at its full large size.
  3. Choose black and white or grayscale. The puzzles need no color, and it saves ink.
  4. Print one page per sheet. “Multiple pages per sheet” makes the letters small again.
  5. To print only the puzzles, print the puzzles-only file, or in the full file print just the pages before the section called Answers.
